I MISS MY PARENTS
I miss my parents with their…
Affection of assurance approval
Blended by their blest building-up brace
Cheerfully caring midst compassion’s comfort
Delighting my days, defending me against despair…
I miss my parents as I thank God for them for…
Exhorting me within their encouragement-enclosure
Fortifying my faith from fear toward freedom-flight
Governing my goals by their guiding grip
Hoisting me toward hope’s haven…
I miss my parents while I do my parenthood roles…
Influenced by the impact they instilled
Juggling jampacked schedule with jitters and joy
Kindling kindness among kids for all, not only for kindred
Led by love …letting it light as lingering legacy along loyalty…
I miss my parents* whose presence lingers since…
Muse of my poems do magnify the marvels of their memories
Nurturing and nourishing me still, while in their nobility I nestle
Offering optimistic opportunities against offending obstacles
Presenting possibilities for parental prize so precious.
*Ephesians 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
