I Love You
I love you; don’t ask me why
For miracles need no grounds to come by.
I love you, though you’re no king,
You’re an angel who taught my heart to sing.
I love you despite the wall
That people built to divide our aching soul.
I love you through moonless nights;
Our love is my brightest light.
I love you, and I’ll always will
Til the sky falls down and the sea flows uphill.
I love you; I ran out of words to say,
Come what may, for life with you I’ll stay.
*Dedicated to my boyfriend, Joy Edrei Rodriguez*
