Remember the immortal lines of her husband? -- "Lucy, I'n hone!" (I don't know if that was intentional or not, but it used to just crack my mom up!) ~ gw

You know, I think I've never laughed harder at anyone than I did Lucille Ball and Carole Burnett. Lucy's took the cake when it came to predicaments; they don't make comedians like her anymore. A lovely tribute to one of the greats.

Thank you so much, ML. She left nobody indifferent, that's for sure.

Line, you are preaching to the choir. I watch Lucy and Ethel and Harvey Korman and Carol Burnett on a regular basis.

The show still runs on Hallmark in the morning. Lucy was so loveable. Best wishes in the contest. (Soup mail) Hugs, Carolyn

Very nicely done, Line. I love that show! Lucille Ball was truly a one-of-a-kind talent - in black-and-white and color TV. Very best wishes to you for a strong placement in the Limericks 4 poetry contest. Have a nice weekend! All good things to you and yours, :) Bartholomew

And they tinted a lot of old shows to add color. Back when color TVs first came out they were only for the rich people of course.

I agree - "I Love Lucy" was only in black-and-white. But one or both of her later shows (after her divorce from Desi Arnaz, I believe), "Here's Lucy" and "The Lucy Show," were in color TV. Have a great night, Line! :) Bartholomew
