I adore observing a stunning sunset, when summer is drifting towards fall. Ruby red tinged clouds I can’t forget - they are the most glorious sight of all! Twilight’s arrived, to another day I must bid adieu as scarlet skies transform to an inky velvety blue. 46 words Any Poem You Want to Write 50 Words or Less Poetry Contest Sponsored by Caren Krutsinger 9/27/19

It seems like a gift from heaven when we see a beautiful sunset. Beautiful imagery, Jan. We see many red sunsets here in Florida, but sometimes we see red sunrises and they are supposed to indicate bad weather is on the way. Congratulations on your win! Hugs, Carolyn

Lovely imagery my friend. It snowed here yesterday so you're poem may be as close as I come to 'fall.' Have a good day.

Wow! I hear congrats are in order for this lovely piece, Jan. That ending couplet is pure gold. I loved seeing it all through your words, dear. :) Thanks for your visit to my latest. I've been busy with uni, family, and meetings. I'm trying to post more regularly, but it hasn't been happening of late. Take care and keep that pen moving! Hugs

Beautiful coloured imagery as the traveller crosses the bridge from summer to fall. Time to take up painting apart from writing, my friend:) Hugs // paul

Family lore tells that when I was two-years old, I "ran away from home" because the sun set and I followed it because I loved its warmth and light. Not much as changed since then, so your 46-words are on a winning subject! Aloha! Rico
