I look back now

I look back now
And I wish that
you could have
loved me
a whole lot more
Instead of walking
out the door
Like you did
so long ago
Because I’ve never loved
anyone as much
as I had loved you before
I guess you were just
putting on a show
or you really didn’t care
But I never thought so
It certainly didn’t show
Because I thought
that
your love was real
But before I go
I can say that I have
never
dated anyone again
After all this time
that has
come and gone
Because I am still dealing
with all this sorrow and pain
Maybe that will change
in the very near future
If I can find someone who
believes in forever and more
I look back now
And I wish that
you could have
loved me
a whole lot more
