I Live

"I LIVE"

these scars on my face talk
but I live
before the hidden life
tries to pull my universe
and destroy it.
yeah, it’s been said
the hours locked
inside my nights keep me
insane but in all
truth, they give me the
greatest gift: isolation.
after the writer is silent
the words slammed into paper
serve as a reminder that
the universe sits within
my hands.
