I know a man… and He understands He made a way Where the shadow’s preyed He lit the day With joy unspeakable, His gift He holds the key To death, hell and the grave He knows each plea Before the prayer is even prayed He filled the soul With music that speaks joy He makes hearts whole Replacing doubt with assurance He guides the hand Who simply believes in Him He writes in the sand Remembering we’re merely human He lifts the load From those who have been worried He loved – His blood flowed Forgiving the darkest sinner He knew the cost Before He came down to us He knew we were lost Without His gift of salvation He gave His all So we could be redeemed He took the fall Though we’re unworthy of His gift He remembered each of us As He hung there on that cross He never made a fuss Though He was completely innocent He is the answer to my need Filling my heart with love that believes He came, my soul, to feed With the wonder of grace that relieves He is my everything And, though I can’t understand I’ll always shout and sing Because this is all just as God planned.
