I Know
I know,
I have always known
Exactly where I stand.
My will is His will, I rest in his hand.
And if the day of terror reaches my abode,
That portion of the ghetto
I've come to call home,
And if evil enters with the sword,
I will go out proclaiming
Jesus is Lord.
But on the other side of the sea
The governments gather
their killing machines,
bombs taller than housetops,
"They'll show us this time."
Perhaps , perhaps, perhaps.
But I live in love, joy and peace,
So what do they parade before me,
Just more of that killing disease.
It is hard to be a human
Living on Earth,
But it always has been.
