-I Kid You Not

Age comes with its own set of changes

One being the change in memory

Our memory declines and we forget more

A frustration that becomes your daily

I have many forgetful moments

Do things sometimes l cant believe

Couple memory loss with insomnia

And theres no amount of crazy you can’t achieve

Recently, in the midst of an insomnia bout

With my body and mind in complete zombie mode

I put my lunch in the microwave to heat

Typed in the heat needed using my…..Pincode!

I kid you not…

I can't tell you how many times I've searched for my glasses and were on my head, or my phone which was in my hand (lol) All part of aging, I guess. It sure beats the alternative though! A relatable great write, Deb. CharlieX

Hey Charlie…..a belated thankyou my friend. I think what l find the most frustrating is the time you waste unable to find things etc….especially when they are on your head hehe!! Debx

Good one!! Deb. I enjoyed reading this one today. How about trying to change the TV channel with the telephone headset. LOL..Or vice versa. I think the problem is when we do things like that and can't figure out our mistake then there is something wrong. Thank you for sharing this humorous one with us. Sara K

Dear Deb, you had me laughing out loud. That mix of exhaustion, honesty, and “did I really just do that?” Memory doing its own thing, insomnia tagging along yeah, that combo can turn any of us into a full-on sitcom character. Thanks for the laugh, I needed it. Blessings, Daniel

I do so feel your pain and frustration. I walk into rooms and forget why I'm there. I lay my glasses down and five minutes later wonder where they are. You are not alone. A fun read and reality check. The pain in my knees makes me forget the pain in my back. God Bless, JB

Hi Judy…..yes we all seem to struggle with the frustration of memory loss as we age…..l find it so annoying and so time wasting….. you put something away it a special safe place and then spend hours or days trying to remember and find….. where you put it!! Thanks Judy…Debx

Fear not, Deb. Those are just WTF moments… I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve pointed my van keys at my back door in order to unlock it. You know what’s odd about that?… it never works…EVER!… O… and if you have any of those LED lights with little remote controllers…don’t leave the controller near the TV remote… because when you go to bed at night……. You end up putting on Channel 4… and waking up the whole house!. Done it Toooooo many times!

Funny & sad Deb. How many times have I gone upstairs at home for something and forgotten what the heck I went up for? I can also remember clearly things I did 50 years ago yet ask me what I did two days ago and I'm stumped. I digress (as older people do) - Nice work. Cheers - Gary
