I sigh
long and sad
I have years
lifetimes
oceans of sadness
to let go . . .
from d e e p , deep inside me
I just want to F L Y away-
but I am walking . . .
it is WINTER
with a freezing wind
the snow is c r u n c h i n g under my feet
I smell churned up earth
the DECAY of dead flowers
and voices
from the graves I pass by . . .
the day is d a r k
no sun shines
just thick dark clouds hang like ghosts
and it is snowing
the sky is w e e p i n g white
hidden, a bird cries like a new baby
I just want to fly a w a y
but I follow . . .
the hearse carrying my baby boy
I feel detached
a watcher of this scene
I hear the prayers DRIFTING among the stones
and in the b a r r e n snow covered trees
the smell of roses is choking
me, then . . . .
my family turn and are leaving
but I am a STATUE weeping alone
I sigh
long and sad
and then, I am

it is drifting and f l o a t i n g in the wind . . .
