I Have Never Lost a Sock

I have never lost a sock
’twas the dryer did the deed
From the prison of my drawer
It has somehow now been freed!

I have never lost two socks
                 Washers often need a snack
Either that or they eloped
                        Anyhow, they ain’t been back

I have never lost three socks
On three wash days in a row
Conspiracy, I must profess!
The joke’s on me, I’ll never know

2/3/23

After YEARS of not losing a sock!
I am baffled!!!

Fun poem to read, Mike. I don't think I've ever lost a sock either, my friend. Bill :-)

LOL... isn't it amazing how they just disappear. Hidden under the couch pillows, beneath the bed/dressers or maybe just thrown out accidentally.

Ha, ha, ha. Love this poem, why does one sock disappear and not the pair. Maybe the one had a chance to flirt and flea either as the washing was put into or taken out of the washing machine when the wash was finished. It is unreal and I think millions of people have suffered this inconvenience. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer. Reminds me a little of my cutlery dilemma poem, I actually to this day don't believe i wrote it.

Lol Very funny Mike love how you wrote this. You need a video camera in the Laundry room to really find out how they got away lol. Enjoyed reading and it put a smile on my face. Thank you my friend...

What a fun write…don’t write off the sock…it might be quite attached to your bum. Years ago I had a sailor friend - we pulled a baby bootie from under her hat. You never know where or when that unsuspecting knitwear will show up ;)

when asked "do you know you have two different sox on?" I just tell them that I have another pair just like it in my sock drawer.

Odd socks galore in cupboards and drawers. Some are mine, and others are yours. Good one, Mike, still smiling. I hope you have a pleasant weekend. Take care, Shirley

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! I am convinced that my washer and dryer eat my socks. I've renamed them 'Munch a Bunch'
