I Have a Poetic Routine

I have a routine when creating a poem,
A routine I do when I write,
I begin every verse with the same set of words
Whether written in the dawn, dusk or night.

I have a routine when creating a poem,
A routine with the words that I choose,
I routinely use a word to repeatedly scrawl
Repeatedly written by my little muse.

I have a routine when creating a poem,
A routine with an obscure word,
A word like froggingly where it sounds like it fits
In a phrase that’s never been used.

I have a routine when creating a poem,
A routine that I use every time,
And that is to have some sort of a beat
And to end the whole verse in a rhyme.
