I Hate Winter
I Hate Winter
I hate the cold.
Just don’t like ….
Being outside in 10 degrees or below,
Because I get so cold.
It shivers up my spine.
I hate the snow.
Just don’t like ….
When there’s two feet of snow or more
It’s always so deep; even up to my knees.
It doesn’t make walking any easier.
I hate the ice.
Just don’t like ….
Slipping and falling all the time.
Too many bruises, painful to touch.
Would only ache for weeks;
Seem to take forever to go away.
I hate the wind.
Just don’t like ….
The ferocious, howling wind,
Pushing me around, with tossled hair in my face,
As I’m being whisked away, as light as a feather
To some unknown place
I don’t want to be.
Oh! God forbid!
I hate the cold, snow, ice and wind altogether.
There is not one single thing that I enjoy
Experiencing the harsh and brutal effects of winter.
Makes my life so miserable
And unbearable.
I wish I could hibernate
And come out at spring.
Being inside during winter
Is the best feeling ever….
I feel the warmth,
I feel safe,
And especially,
I feel the love
That surrounds me
From my family and friends.
