Notes About The Poem

It is a lyrical poem meant to be read aloud like a song.

I Get the Feeling That,

I get the feeling

                                            All around me
                                            I see feelings
                                        of love, that keeps
                                         on shining through

                                             When I see
                                          your smiling face
                                          I get the feeling
                                          that you've got
                                          that feeling too

                                          Love is in the air
                                          it's in everything
                                              that we do
                                           When you look
                                          at me that way
                                          I get the feeling
                                           that you've got
                                        the same feeling too

                                         When others look
                                           at us together
                                          and see the love
                                           between us two
                                          I get the feeling
                                          that they've got
                                           the feeling too

                                           When I gaze up
                                            at the stars in
                                        the heavens above
                                          I get the feeling
                                             that He's got
                                            the feeling too.

                                        Now that you've read
                                       these words about love
                                          written down here
                                           right in front of you
                                             I get the feeling
                                            that you'll get the
                                             same feeling too!

Yeah, I got the feeling, JD!! Cool song, very upbeat and personable. I love your laidback stylistic (fabulous soul singing group) expressions, bro. Tell me that you're a professional songwriter. If not, you sure got the talent to be paid for possessing that God-given gift. Again, such a smooth cruise song. Love and smiles and smiles of joy.

Btw, Mr. Songmaster ... don't know if you liked David Bowie music, but I did a playful parody of his song, "Panic in Detroit" (I'm a 313 area code guy.) The poem is titled, "Parking in Detroit." Posted 6-5-17. You might get a smile out of it. Love and more love always.
