I Gave It My Best

"Whew, done with today, sigh
I know I gave it my best try

I met every challenge head on
And beat most back with my baton

A few battles will have to wait another day
Certainly to join other dragons I have to slay

But I achieved a lot 
Believe it or not

Despite the pressure of a dwindling clock
I remain confident and strong as a rock

I am thankful to be alive,
Working more than just to survive 

Committed to this path I have chosen 
Swimming through business and personal emotion

My head still above water,
Even though the future is uncharted

I have to believe in my heart and trust my mind,
That what I want will be mine

So as my pillow calls,
And the results of today I recall

I affirm to myself that I am deserving,
For the success that I am yearning

I have done my best today,
And fought the battles my way

So tomorrow I will have another chance to succeed,
For in myself I believe"
