I Finally Saw the Debate

I finally saw the debate, My spirits prepared to deflate, For I’d heard it was rough (Lies are hard to rebuff) But I needed to get it all straight. I agree that Joe Biden looked weak And he fumfers when trying to speak, Yet the bully he faced With his falsehoods disgraced Every viewer while raising my pique. Why Bash/Tapper allowed him to rant While ignoring their questions, I grant Made him look like a fool, Though, despite ridicule, To his fans it will not disenchant. Both debaters most likely rehearsed And in private, each other they’ve cursed. Still, to watch made me mad For, though one came off bad, It’s the other I’m dreading the worst.

And there were no FACT checks on the flim flam man. I'm sticking with our sitting President, best man for the job. It's not over till it's over, sure T won this round using force and awaits his imperial presidency and now with immunity, Nixon would've had his presidency back, how dangerous. A name to remember Govenor Gavin Newsom everyone, he would have kicked ass if Biden didn't run. Let's see what happens.

I don’t get the greatness of the second, and I don’t think Trump does either. His other positions make sense. I think he is being practical about it for those votes.

Though he isn't my choice, I will say that I think Pres. Biden was over- rehearsed. It must have been grueling. Just a few hours every other day should have been enough.

I hope...before my lifeline runs out...that we can get back to the days when we could vote for a candidate because of his stance on issues. The last two elections...and most likely the next one, as well...I have ended up voting for one simply because I did not/could not vote for the other. I just couldn't bring myself to watch this debate, and from all the backlash I've seen and heard, I guess it's just as well.

I dislike both but fear Biden more. I never have voted for Trump and I never wanted to have to but the border and inflation are my main concerns so guess I gotta go with the bully. Good grief, can't both parties get new people???

Hi Ilene, This is so well done! I personally think that the President may have been ill with covid and that is why he was cloistered at Camp David for a week prior to the debate. However the time frames give for response, no truth checking, etc. could have factored in to it..f.y.i. No one won here..

What a choice, eh?!... But Putin, Xi, the Mullahs, and Kim are just licking at their chops at the prospect of four more years of the enfeebled Biden (or the incredible giggling Harris). We just can't afford that, can we?! However much Trump may exaggerate his abilities and demean those of others, he infuses our sworn enemies with a healthy fear. Even if Trump isn't ideal, I'll vote for him over enfeebled incompetence and incapability. ~ Just sayin,' gw

All politicians are the same they try and make their opponents look bad by whatever means. None of us are perfect and make mistakes, I know it gets worse as you get older. Tom

Its such a worry to see Biden come off so badly in this debate BUT I agree with you - his opponent s a convicted criminal - so its a no brainer who to vote for ! though it makes me glad i'm not in the USA:-) hugs jan xx

Remember before when they were asking if Don should win or lose. I think they stole his ideal. I'm glad i saw this from you.
