I Feel Her Presence

The feel of her warm hand on my thigh Content she whispers a satisfying sigh As the night breeze wafts softly in time To a lonely voice haunting and sublime, Soft sand and the incoming tide purring Her gentle squeezing is most reassuring As my heart beats in rhythm her pulsing Confirms what earlier I'd been guessing, Though I am alone her spirit is hovering Three years have passed; I am recovering In this place we shared year after year, And I feel her presence especially here On the sands en la Playa de los Muertos Many times we held each other close In time I knew she would come to me, If I were in the place where I needed to be.

Yes, it is, Delice...and time and place and state of mind is so very important to a satisfying experience.

I am so glad that you experienced Deb while you were there; you need to be there more often Hank!

Thank you, Caren. I found a lot of peace in this visit to PV. The last time I was there, one year after Deb died, was so sad because it was awash in memories. This time was totally different. I think it was my last trip, though. I accomplished what I set out to do.

Touching tribute to your memories and to her presence there with you. Glad you had the experience you were looking for, and glad you shared it with us. Your friend, Bill

Thank you so much, Bill. I felt it was the most powerful and important piece I wrote there.
