A menagerie of mockingbirds are singing a melody, of imitated tweets and chirps, like ripples of a flute; And I wander a forest lush green and hushed quiet, the twilight allows only a pellucid of light to stream in; and in my dream I am so broken and lost. A bright vermilion rose entices me to touch it and smell, the frangipani perfume, so sweet and succulent; so beautiful and luscious to this lost beauty wandering, and in my dream I hold it to infuse my broken heart; then, using my ancestral power- I fade into foliage. _____________________________ January 7, 2018 Poetry/Verse/I, Fade Copyright Protected, ID 18-9809-32-01 All Rights Reserved.
