I 'Ear' Daniel Turner Has a Birthday Today

A most charming poet named Dan Writes poems whenever he can He is sixty today So I’m writing to say Happy birthday from your friend Jan xxxxxxx An unfortunate poet named Daniel His huge ears made him look like a spaniel They dangled down so low Past his knees to his toe The plastic surgeon re-wrote the manual! The surgeon who was in charge He had never seen ears so large With a nip and a tuck Daniel was in good luck Dashing home to show his wife Marge POEMS POSTED WITH PERMISSION OF DANIEL TURNER 13th August 2016

hahaha. Good ones, JAn. I once did limericks on every member of a poetry group I was in. today most of those limericks are scattered on my poetry pages! *even the one I did on Connie, who appears below my comment here.

I just dropped bye Daniels place to tell him happy birthday Jan. Daniel is no ka 'oi (which means the best). My husband is a Leo too (Aug.9). I love the sweet limerick you wrote for him. I bet he will too! 7 ; )

Aww Thanks CayCay. I read Daniel's poem and saw it was his 60th birthday so I wrote the birthday poem and in a soup mail to him mentioned about rhyming Daniel and spaniel ... and the second poem was soon created lol:-) hugs Jan xx
