I Don'T Want To Cry

I don't want to cry I've been all alone, so long without you, and I just don't know, what else I can do And as I think, about all that we had, I cherish those days, and I try to be glad Chorus 1 Now, I don't want to cry, so I, hold back the tears, but, I still have to try, and vanquish my fears I don't want to cry... no, no... I don't want to cry Now I've given up, the hope you'll return the tears well up, my eyes start to burn Chorus 1 Now, I don't want to cry, so I, hold back the tears, but, I still have to try, and vanquish my fears I don't want to cry... no, no... I don't want to cry My mind is so tired, from dreaming of you, and it starts a fire, then burns out of view Now I realize, just how much I care, my hope crashes down, the pain I can't bear Chorus 2 Now, I don't want to cry, don't want no-one to see, don't want anyone, feeling sorry for me, Now, I don't want to cry, no, no... I don't want to cry Chorus 1 Now, I don't want to cry, so I, hold back the tears, but, I still have to try, and vanquish my fears I don't want to cry... no, no... I don't want to cry I don't want to cry... no, no... I don't want to cry I don't want to cry... no, no... I don't want to cry repeat and fade John Derek Hamilton December 1, 2017

Glad your back writing your poems again and have your loved one back home again. Good times are ahead. Read all your recent ones and what can a mom say, but well done. Keep it up. Love you both.

Slow ballad for sure, minor 7ths and 9ths ... really melancholy and heart-breakingly sweet - my favorite genre! Love everything you've done here, John - keep up the great work! (Have you tried selling your lyrics to recording artists? It might take a while to get an acceptance, just because it's so hard to break into "the biz", but once you get a foot in the door and sell one, other doors will open).

I have around 113K fans on my FB "Bahku" page now, (all from their marketing of my songs and ReverbNation), and about 4300 on my personal page, just from folks who have figured out the connection between my moniker and real name. A pretty good base to start promoting with when I release new music. Have you promoted your lyrics there? You should create a FB page for your lyrics and promote it, if you haven't yet ... just throwing things at the wall, my friend! :-)

I started out by writing to record companies/labels - they have the contacts. Let me put some feelers out ... I have a few connections still, especially via the label I have a contract with at present. I have some important Facebook friends who I exchange messages with every-so-often, (Michael McDonald, Patti Labelle, Brenda Russell, Bill Cantos, Bill Champlin, Steve Lukather, etc., and a bunch of session players), so I'll ask around who's accepting submissions. Many of them write their own, but are always looking for people they know. Facebook has done more for me than any other media source by FAR.

Yeah I'm working on Dan Hill he's working on a new album, I just don't have the contacts to approach them so it's really slow thanks for the confidence boost!
