I Do Not Like You Folk

I do not like you folk                      
I do not like you woke   
I'd rather you not spoke
Your throats I'd like to choke
       
All you do is criticize
See things with an evil eye
The embodiment of cancel culture
The predator we call a vulture

I do not like the clothes you wear     
I do not like your unkempt hair         
I do not like you here or there
I do not like you anywhere

I do not like you folk
I do not like you woke
Your opinions are a joke
I hope you end up broke

May all your plans completely fail
Then all of you wind up in jail
And if you try to ban this poem
I'll put some ants into your scrotum

Cancelling Uncle Ben's And Aunt Jemima saying it's racist is MAKING THE CANCELLATION RACIST BECAUSE THE MODELS ARE BLACK. Leave alone what works. IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT. THESE ARE THINGS WE HAVE ALL GROWN UP WITH A LOVED. THERE IS NO HATE ANYWHERE UNTIL THESE DESK JOCKEYS PUT THEIR NOSES IN TRYING TO LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE A JOB TO DO. P.S. Awtry March 4, 2021 at 7:36 AM FAVE--I love the idea of Dr. Seuss having a response! People are a product of their times and some of them help make things better--I think that was Seuss... And many of our heroes who are now being "cancelled." Gershon Wolf March 4, 2021 at 5:55 PM And what's more, Seuss really changed his attitude from that of a typical Ivy-Leaguer to that of a humanitarian, who fought for minorities, against anti-Semitism in WW2, and all that stuff. As a proud progressive, I'm afraid you did not describe me at all. I'm so sorry you do not like me, but I like and respect you. I hope we can be[come] friends. As for the word 'progressives' in the poem, I should have used the words 'cancel culture,' but I was too lazy to go find a rhyme. My bad, as they say... btw, I have friends from all the colors on the spectrum and all the stripes on the shirt. Appreciate your graciousness, and will glad to be a friend. Thanks again!!... Finally, there is a reevaluation of the 'appropriateness' of Suess taking place now. E.g., Disney World is reevaluating its Cat-in-the-Hat platform... Sociability and Sensibility, Gershon
