I Do Not Do Confrontation Well

My daughter says to get mad at me is like getting angry with Mary Poppins.
I do not understand hostility, 
I want to talk with them,
and I want to sweeten the situation with sugar.

Confrontation is something I do not do well. 
I rapidly spring from passive to aggressive.
I never learned how to be a grown up after my feelings are hurt.

I am much more like the hulk. From zero to 160 in a few green seconds.
I am trying to be a grown up, I truly am.
But it is nearly impossible after sixty eight years of doing it incorrectly.

O, I hate to get my feelings hurt, but with my tongue, I often hurt other's feelings unintentionally. Then, the apologies. C'est la vie! Throw in some extra lunch duties too. What the hey?
