I Dared To Dream

In a thousand dreams I've longed for you, and with our first kiss my dreams came true.

I often think that time will come
when you'll look at me and succumb
to loving me as I love you.
My heart, please tell me dreams come true.

For many years I've dared to dream,
that in your eyes shall be a gleam,
the light of passion meant for me,
to burn throughout eternity.

You will speak from your ardent heart,
the desires of love, I've long sought.
And when my dream has been fulfilled
we'll share a life that's golden gild.

No more dreaming in shadows cast.
Our spoken vows were meant to last.
No greater love shall ever be,
much sweeter than my reverie.
