I Confess, I Am Guilty

My parents said I could not keep the black, stray cat. They explained our canary would not survive that. Parents out, a sitter, and my four-year-old mind Let the cat in and hoped for the best in due time. I am ashamed to have plotted murder when four, Sad an innocent bird died cause I liked cats more. The whole family loved that sweet cat, “Little Bit”, Plus, I promise, I never planned another death hit. February 24, 2016

Another amazing piece well done!! I kicked a kitten off the top of our house that bit me. I felt bad later, but never did have much use for them after that, mutual I'm sure!........80)

Without any effort at all on my part, I have 4 cats - it just happened to me, but I confess to loving them, just as I did the one I 'manoeuvered' into our house when four. Hey, maybe its karma that I 'acquired' four! I wish to know if you noticed whether the kitten landed on all fours? I loved finding your comments tonight, they made my day. Ducks and birds, you and I, oh my! Does fowl apply to our behavior, or are canaries not considered fowl? I feel bad that I don't care more. Now, I feel bad that I said that. NOT A BIRD HATER, they are very birdishly in their birdy ways, just as they are meant to be. I'm just being silly, I probably just can't get over the males being more attractive and have resentment. Believe that? When are you flying over to Soup?

I am a cat lover too. I like that they are not real needy like dogs, yet they still give you love and purr happily when you stroke their soft fur. This is a sweet poem CayCay! ; )

I was truly a sweet child, but obviously thought the bird was boring and did not consider his pain. It was all about the cat and I am ashamed and unsure how I could have done such a thing. Nicely written, CayCay. I laughed a little. I did something similar as a boy – to know for certain if cats have nine lives as I was told, I put one in a burlap bag, and from a top a high wall I dropped a heavy stone on the poor creature. I wasn't surprised at the cat's demise but shocked by my grandmother's lie. Thank you for the stop. / M

wow, you are a murderess!! (King David style, not actually doing it yourself. haha) this was a super cool idea you did for the challenge. I honestly cannot think of what to write for this one, CayCay. I do bad things but not things I will apologize for!! And she said to say in the poem something about apologiziing. OMG, I love it. I don't know how many strays I brought home. But we had a pigeon and they got along well except every time that pigeon strut in front of the cat as it lay by the stove, he'd smacked it with its wing then coo. DMB
