I Cannot Speak For the Others of Course

The hallways are filled with excitement Our students are “off the chain” because it is Friday. Wait! It is not Friday. It is Wednesday. They are loud and proud, crazy loud. We teachers cringe, wondering how they will behave on Friday If this is only Wednesday. Anyway, this teacher is cringing. I cannot speak for the others of course. But they do not have lunch duties with these wild, loud, spinning tops in nine minutes.

I dread lunch duty for two minutes a day as I walk down the hall like a condemned man toward the lunch room. I do not allow them to steal any more minutes from me than these two.
