I Cannot Allow Myself To Love You
I cannot allow myself to love you

I cannot allow myself to love you
In a physical way
Because it wouldn't be fair to you
And that's the last thing that I would want to do
Because I wouldn't want to mislead
you to think
that it could be any other way
But I can love you unconditionally
In a spiritual way
If that's alright with you
Because I am still on a long road
to recovery
Some people may say that
they can heal in a day
But it is very different with me
And it might take me forever and a day
Before I can get back
to being the
person that I used to be
Especially when I loved someone so deeply
I cannot allow myself to love you
In a physical way
Because it wouldn't be fair to you
And that's the last thing that I would want to do
Because I wouldn't want to mislead
you to think
that it could be any other way
But I can love you unconditionally
In a spiritual way
If that's alright with you
Because I am still on a long road
to recovery
