I Cannot
I cannot cry because my tears have run dry.
When I am with you I fly. When I am not
With you I survive. I know that I am happy
To be alive. I used to be able to confide in
You and talk. I have to nullify my
Words because of where you now reside.
I feel inside myself start to dye. And you
Know this because I cannot lie. All I can
Do is take a deep sign. And try to deny
The ill words that I hear. For now I have
To pull away and not be so near. For
The fear of the pain that I endear.
