I just wrote this as an explanation of the "Russian Chastushka" as a type of poem typically consisting of one stanza of four lines, which can be rhymed or unrhymed. In this case, I constructed it as a Rhyme AABB. I planned to enter this piece in the Chastushka Contest, but unfortunately missed the cut off deadline for that contest. Regardless of that, here it is, and so enjoy its descriptive nature. Poetry is Poetry after all. (Gary Bateman - September 13, 2014)

Hello Laura . . . My, My you are digging deep in archives of nearly one year. I actually want to do some more of these Chastushkas some time. I used to read actual Russian Chastushkas in the Russian language many years ago when I was studying and learning that language. They are alive even today in Putin's Russia!! Cheers and Best!! Gary
