I Awake To Darkness (Part 2)

I open my eyes and I am lying against the door
All around me there is blood on the floor
Rising to my feet I begin to walk around
There is nothing but blood in every room I have found
I hear the spirits again in my mind and soul
The floor opens and there is a darkened hole
My soul is telling me not to go in
But the spirits whisper to me, "your adventure begins"
I listen to the spirits and jump down below
There is only shadow and I don't know where to go
I open a flare which lights the way
The shadow begins to turn away
I hear a faint cry not knowing if it's real
But its sorrow and pain is what I can feel
The spirits tell me the cry I cannot follow
They tell me to make my heart hollow
I continue to obey and follow my quest
But I still don't know if that was a test
There is a wall in my path that I break through
And the sky outside is the deepest and darkest blue
I start to walk and I trip and fall
Crashing down a hill I lose it all
I come to a stop and lay on my back
Closing my eyes falling asleep and everything goes black...

It continues to be interesting and very well written. The only comment I feel compelled to make is that, you are not following your own quest, but what the spirits, because you are obeying them. I will continue to read. Thanks for sharing. Caroline.
