I Awake To Darkness (Part 4)

I awake to the pain of my broken bones
My body is lifeless among the scattered stones
I begin to cry out but no one is around
Looking to the ground a bottled note I have found
I shatter the bottle and roll out the note
As I read I realize these words the spirits wrote
The spirits tell me to stand through the pain
Once I stand tall they say healing I will gain
I begin to rise to retain my balance
My bones are healed, I've completed this challenge
This quest must continue I hear the spirits say
The boy's soul is filled with torment and decay
I must prove to the spirits that I am not weak
I tell them I'm free and then they don't speak
A faint cry for help catches my ears
This is the same cry that was filled with fear
The spirits tell me not to follow
But I tell them my heart will not be hollow
I run towards the cry that becomes faint
As I get closer the spirits try to tell me I'm no saint
I understand the price I could pay but this is my only way
There is a girl sitting and crying, but she is telling me to stay
I sit and rest with her lying in my arms
We both lye down and stare at the stars
The hill we are laying on is somewhat steep
But the comfort of each other we both fall asleep...
