I Await
The path taken,
stunning and sublime
rivers rushed,
such a magical ride
the sun shone,
the bluebird danced
feelings felt,
life enhanced
secrets floating through
the innocence,
nothing slipped on by
but still I am
back amid the wilderness
not noticing what's around
grey stealing recollection
darkness gone unbound
stretched across the horizon
silent letters pierce my chest
washed up
an endless sentence
I await
