I and My Father
To think that the Lord in Heaven above,
Has chosen me to tell of His love,
Sets me at once to wondering,
How to accomplish such a thing.
How can a sinner such as I,
For whom the Lord had to bleed and die,
Love other sinners, unworthy too,
Not only that, but love like You.
I asked the Master this one day,
When I was full of doubt and dismay,
I said, "Lord, it seems as others know,
As much as me, if not more so",
And then He gently said to me,
"It's not enough just to believe,
That I and My Father in Heaven exist.
You must Us into your heart receive,
And I and My Father will do the rest."
