I Am the Wind
I am the wind that came roaring from the cold north today
there are days when I am a gentle breeze that caresses softly
but not today- today I am angry ...
I whip around the trees setting them in motion
making them sway back and forth
and I love to make branches tremble and flutter
twirling and swirling in a whirlwind dance
as I breathe in their tangled swaying limbs my tempest
and see how I make the grass move like ocean waves rolling
and garden flowers bend and struggle to stay upright
oh, have no fear they are stronger than you think
I like to take things and to throw them over the horizon
oh, can you hear my howling bellow on your shaking windows
I twist and turn, zigzag and weave ...
now, I am breathless and gasping as I meander along a stream-
oh, I like to entwine with nature
