I am... a hello/goodbye guest. I show up dancing, twirling about like a dervish, shaking my tambourine; dance with me! I'm no clown; take me seriously! I'm always friendly whenever we meet face to face. Shake my right hand; do not stick yours in my face and tell me to talk to it instead. Don't blow me off like that. Each time I meet you at crossroads, follow me. Each time I visit your humble abode, your mind, your dreams and knock at the door, open it! Open the door and welcome me in. Do not leave me waiting too long out in the cold, because... I lack patience. Don't say I didn't warn ya...

Dear EI, so good to read you , its been a while! And i love the way youv written this personification. “I lack patience. Don't say I didn't warn ya...” love how that ending is, it resonates i think with me and will do with many too as sometimes we do lack patience. “ I'm no clown; take me seriously!” yes say it louder! What a powerful and honest write! A fave it is! Best wishes for the contest! Sending you and your family light always.

Opportunity comes to those who open the door and receive him as soon as he knocks on the door. Never keep him waiting. He may not visit you again. Enjoyed this poem of personification greatly.
