Notes About The Poem

I Am Broken

Legs that can’t fly
Heart that can’t love
Lips dry
Kisses under go a rye

I am blind
Only seeing within the past lens
Only holding on to memories
That wont last
Your sweet smile fades away
As I whispered in my deepest of dreams

Now I live inside insane mad thoughts
You have moved on
I am not longer in your way
My love lingered
No more can I sway

Your beauty
My dreams
I have lost directions
Flowers never come in May

Waves’ roll to shore
Angels play in the tempest sea
They know not love was not for me
Blankets keep the royal lovers warm

I left to winters charm
Coldness is my home
Chilled thoughts haunt my very bones
Broken and all alone

Forlorn
Battles yet fought
Over me grave
Besot, tears still drop
Underneath

Poetic flowers bloom

This is beautiful in it's sadness, really enjoyed this deep heartfelt write Arthur. I think you're right, aren't all poets broken somehow? Didn't Richard write about broken people? Both sooo good.

Authur, Sad x sad. Each word is a teardrop and each line is a river flowing out of a broken heart. Poetic pain cuts like a saber until...I Am Broken. My best to you, chuck

This made my eyes get misty somehow dear Arturo...I could feel myself there right beside you broken and alone...Till Oh that last line..'Poetic Flowers Bloom' ..That is all you...Hope ..Determination even when the dream seems to be drying up...And petals will bloom in all the colors of the rainbow after the rain...You 'll see.A favourite..For one of the Best poets of the world.

Sorrow leaps from the page in this poignant yet captivating piece, Arthur...it's raw in its emotion...I especially love the hopeful ending. Hugs, Rhonda

Kintsugi art, the best art in the world... Broken art, glued together with liquid gold. To indicate that the glued result is even better and more beautiful than the original art.

Arthur this is such a sad piece. It' s always difficult when someone we love moves on. It can hurt like hell however, it opens up many opportunities that one may never had imagined. As always this is a great write!!

Very sad yet convincing write Arthur, love the ending where your poetic teardrops bloom and create beauty instead of tragedy for the reader. Your rhyme is always of the highest order and a joy to read no matter what the subjectivity. All the best and may your brilliant pen enlighten us again. A favorite of course!

If you were broken, you couldn't write beautiful poems like this one, so full of feelings, sad and warm the same time. Poetry, my friend.
