I Am An Old-Line Liberal

I am an old-line Liberal and proud of it, too Though we are told liberalism is a dirty word, Most Americans stand with me in the queue. We liberals are willing to stand and be heard, Always seeking what’s best for the majority Though we are told liberalism is a dirty word. Believing equal rights a Constitutional priority All people should have the same opportunity, Always seeking what’s best for the majority. We stand for every citizen’s right to security Equal pay for equal work; good medical care, All people should have the same opportunity. Our agenda demands clean water and pure air Taking care of natural resources by regulation Equal pay for equal work; good medical care! Every child deserves a home, food, education I am an old-line Liberal and proud of it, too Taking care of natural resources by regulation Most Americans stand with me in the queue. How can that be, Paulette? If you share my sentiment, then you must have some "liberal" in you. Or, is it that you have been brainwashed to believe being a liberal is a bad thing? I don't know. Help me on this?
