Part 3 of Trilogy

Dead babies
All in circles
Dead babies
Screaming, screaming
I hear my name
Over here, over here
One second of birth
I die in flame
Of wombs passion
Don’t be crying
I was always dying

Don’t touch me now
Don’t feel the cold placenta
Tumble down lost one ways
Deep purple tunnels
Swiss alpine meadows
Light and night twisted like vine
I never cry, never try
I was a soft heart when I was born
Now you can touch a heart of stone
The rum and bourbon keep stones wet
Touching me is touching the devil
One day, in that moment in time

I imagine
Holding your hand
The one I don’t know
I take another drink of the devil and laugh
Imagine a cloudy day
That Alice comes to save me
Alice, meet the rabbit
Wonderland is over there
Returning to fantasy no more
Clones and drones and rolling stones
Lovers and strangers
They all seem far away
The darkness calls
I am Alice in wonderland
I have been elected
For death
My name is Stephen

Great poem my friend. BACK IN MY DAY, back in the days of my youth it was Steppenwolf and Alice Cooper! Rare Earth, GrandFunk and Deep Purple. Yet Alice Copper's music always held me, in its dark arms. Somehow it seemed more perfect in flow and energy. A7

I see you mention was he classicly trained, I've no idea on that, but his track 'Halo the Flies' most certainly is. if that were played by a symphony orchestra at the Albert Hall it would be hailed as up there with the best of them. Mostly a musical piece it takes some understanding, draw your own conclusions on what few lyrics there are. Ok I'm a massive fan lol. Take care, Richard

Yes I am not 100% sure myself, but his music was a lot more than it seemed at the time, in my opinion. There is a very interesting biography of him on youtube that I watched before doing this trilogy! Thanks for such nice comments!

Oh Wow, Alice was definately a 'Generation Landslide' when he came on the scene. A hate figure to all parents, so immediately a hero to us young ones at the time lol. Had his ups and downs but still going strong. I know people are put off by the apparent weirdness of the band but they wrote some amazing lyrics set to fantastic music. Ok I'm a massive fan lol. love this poem. Take care Richard

You have such a way to bring the reader into your world...this time...it was a dark and sad world....one without hope. I thought Alice Cooper was a singer? Then there's Alice in Wonderland. I'm a bit depressed so many brain isn't working right today. It's a well written piece....oh the part about the babies...Hugs

Even the dark side of life could be inspiring in its own way. The poet serves only the muse of poetry in a just and harmonious manner. Well done dear, Arthur.
