I Am a Tree Contest

Many years ago I lived in the National Forest I had over 100 rings around, each of the rings meant I was another year old. Today I am this piece of paper being written on so I may tell my life story, this is my last piece of paper. In the beginning I was wedged with another seed inside a female pine cone, we called her mom my official name is: Pine You may have met some of my friends you call them Christmas trees, as I grew bark sounded me keeping my rings safe through time the wind would blow and sway me. I would hear birds singing and even nesting upon my limbs, I once had an Eagle sit on top of me while looking down for food. My life was full of adventure, I have had bear sharpen their claws on me, I even had a dog pee on me but there was this time I had a great fear. Lighting had struck my friend Mr. Stump and a fire started but luckily the Forest Service put it out and saved me. I have had woodpeckers pecking on me keeping me awake all day, I would watch squirrels gathering nuts for the winter and when it snowed my bark keep me warm. Then my final day was when the loggers cut me down a very sad day for me, they lifted me up and put me on a truck to go to a mill. They cut me up into pieces some of me helped build a house some made money while this piece is writing this story about my life as a tree.
