I Adore You But I Adore You Not
Here I am, amidst the noise and confusion
Under the scorching heat into my deepest skin
I couldn’t get to sleep thinking
I adore You but I adore You not
Here I am, amidst the noise and confusion
In my thoughts, there you’ve always been!
Nay, I get lost knowing
I adore You but I adore You not
Here I am, amidst the noise and confusion
Am I still worthy of Thy love?
Mine spirit is willing but the flesh is weak!
Wanting to exercise love but I find myself limited
Oh! Why do I set You apart over my earthly desires?!
I couldn’t get to sleep thinking
I adore You but I adore You not
Here I am, but where exactly I am!
In my thoughts, who am I to You
Lord, pull me up from this abyss!
Mine spirit is willing but the flesh is weak!
Utterance of love sometimes void
Devastated by earthly desires, pride and prejudice!
So here I am again, Lord!
Taking another one step towards You
Pleading You to take charge of my being
I get lost thinking
I adore You but I adore You not
