Hymn of Heartbeats

O' pearlescent papercuts painted in honey jar spells of journaling june ~ I ponder, if the spirit of the seven-spiked sun must taste the pewter petals of slow-dying summer, to hear what fades and lingers in the heat of healing damsel dusks... breathless... lifeless... to feel the forlorn ~ in liquid scents of love... but, why do I evermore remain a whispered wound, bleeding... weightless in the veins of weary weeds, wrinkled in the holy hymn of heartbeats?

The moment I started reading this poem, I have been caught in the spell of your wonderful alliteration. So happy to see you now after a long break. I know you have more serious pursuits in life that you can't be a full time souper. Yet you appear once in a while with the glow of the moon. Your etheree has an unusual luminosity with phrases like 'pearlescent paper cuts, seven spiked sun, whispered wound, weightless veins of weary wounds'. This poem of love, longing and heartache is indeed a hymn of sorrow. This, I am sure would be a top winner in Empress's contest. All the Best dear Hiya!

What a luminous poem, a chiaroscuro of heat and hush, softness with sorrow. The “seven-spiked sun”, “liquid scents of love” and “a whispered wound, bleeding…” read like fragments coming from above. A wonderful Etheree.

I liked reading this story of sadness as the heat of summer becomes oppressive. There does seem to be a melancholy during late July. A very poetic work.
