Barbara Gorelick Poet I do not know?

Hush Now

Hush! Don't you make another peep
Across the lawn the cat does creep

I've told you not to chirp so loud
Your voice stands out in any crowd

Could have had a mate with quiet voice
But oh no, Noisy Nancy was my choice

Lets go back to our tree top nest
This poor old bird needs some rest

Its a good thing you are oh so cute
But I'd like you better if you were mute
