Hush Hush-A-By Hush Puppies
Hush-a-by little baby
The lambs are bleating in the meadow
The local crooks are down the way
Giving hush money to all of them as pay
Hush puppy quiet. The fox will hear us come.
So hush puppy quiet. And all the hush be done.
Hush my dearest, close your sleepy eyes.
The butter’s out in the kitchen, drawing in some flies.
Hush-a-by little baby
The older children must get their rest
They have to go to school tomorrow
And take a science test
Get those suede hush puppies ready
For they are for my children’s darling little feet
Hush you local crooks with hush money!
If you wake my lambs, they will bleat.
