Hurting
I try not to
I really do
But you can't see that
You only see that I'm hurting you
I protect myself from others
You protect yourself from me
I hurt with words, slaps, & jokes I don't mean
I try not to
I really do
But you told me
And I see that I snap, slap, and crab
Now I cry
And I do not try to stop it
My mind is in a coma
Protecting itself from hurt
From the pain and the cage
Now you try to break in
Saying that I do not hurt
But you're wrong
I hurt whomever I touch
Do not get me wrong
You've really been there for me
But I do not want to hurt
So I must forget. . .
