Notes About The Poem

Hurt

Look deep in my heart – you can’t see my pain What gives you the right to besmirch my name? You think you’re so clever You think you’re so smart I’m telling you straight you’re a boring old fart! 10th January 2016

Let 'em whine my friend. Your poetry is top class and if its jealousy that drives'em--let em eat their vain blackened hearts out. Great and meaningful poem you've penned. A7

Some are old farts, some are young tarts, some dont even realize thats exactly what they are. I will say supporting them is as bad as being one. Something for some here to ponder.

Bullying can be done in so many different ways... I like how you express how it feels to be bullied, have felt those same feelings - the last line kinda disappointed me - seemed almost like bullying back. I admit I have no idea what's going on, just what I felt as I read.

Thanks for dropping by Susan - the last line was meant in a humourous way but I guess can be interpreted the way you did:-) hugs jan xx

Well Jan, you're final line narrowed it down to a big bag of wind and eventually that's how a bully ends up - well written - Lindsay

Glad that even when hurt, your writes still have that oomph which make me smile. I agree with Eileen. We face the world with a brave face, but it's those people who genuinely love and care for us that we turn to when we feel down. We're here for you, Jan. hugs!

Jan, your poem speaks the truth, to me bullies are just cowards seeking attention, stand up to them and they run away crying, I read a book once on the types of personalities, like the bulldozer, the yes person, the no person, the joker, the backstabber, the gossip, etc etc, it was fun to read, oh yeah there was the no opinion, there was a bunch others, I wish I still had that book !!! Anyways great write 7 ~

Packed with righteous message! I had a hunch you were speaking of bullies ( seen through your picture also). They are not loved nor appreciated but this doesn't mean they can take it on us.

You, Jan, know how to deal with such situations, but not all are capable of doing so. Bullying can do much psychological damage to a person who is shy and weak and unable to stand up for him/herself. Hugs // paul

I was bullied at school when I was a kid Paul I have been able to talk to kids where I work about what happened to me and my being bullied poem was used on a website in the US - so sad to see it going on in soup with so called adults - I have the power of my pen to write about many things I see:-) hugs jan xx

I'm fed up of the bullying sniping back biting especially on the blogs Luloo - if people could see how we hide our pain maybe read between the lines of what we write maybe it would be a nicer place:-( hugs Jan xx
