There's something we must not forget:
the rage of nature's force is set
when monstrous hurricanes beget
their surge of winds and waves to let
our warning plans become offset.
As floods drown homes without regret,
along with lives- a cherished pet;
strong winds continue to abet
in downing buildings, trees- then fret
with toppling bridges- doubling threat.
This deadly wind and flood duet-
devoid of patterns, does beset;
with every hurricane roulette-
disaster is the epithet!
For nature's force- we pay our debt.
