Quite the image you've stirred up Kim. I try to write even when life gets in the way. It doesn't always happen ;) Linda

The substance and metaphorical image both resonate with me! Sometimes going without food is beneficial, particularly after several lavish feasts. Blessings

My poetry is starving too but for different reasons – old age, lack of original ideas, and much else the flesh is heir too at my age. / Maurice

We all go through those dry spells and sometimes just a picture or a scene brings on a thought which ends up in a poem. I think you are on a roll with this one. Thanks for the visit to my page. Sara
