Ohh CayCay, we love our 'hummies' in our backyard and I coax them here with homemade nectar from Mother's Day till early September. We celebrate their arrival and enjoy them all summer and shed a sad tear when they leave us.. So glad you 'caught' and enjoyed this Haiku. What an alluring image! Like a child drawn to candy, I was drawn to your title (even though, as a rule, haiku are not titled). Your haiku is lovely and full of movement, and the end line dazzles. ~ Warm regards // paul

It's amazing the preception one assumes from the words of another soul. I believe I know someone by the sound of their voice and the words they use...and it's only then I can see them...Your words are voiced with so much fun...I can almost see you... Come to my backyard Jan from mid-May through mid-September and you'll see plenty of iridescent razzle-dazzle up close and personal lol!
