She was so scrumptious I just needed to squeeze her, kiss her and hug her. We played under the tent that we made from grandmother's knitted quilt. We had so much fun together. She is two and I am nearly sixty, but we were both on the same page. We loved.
the way her face glew
her eyes grew wide...so joyful
I needed a hug
Beneath the blanket
a make-shift tent covered us
she was mesmerized
we peaked through the holes...
and watched grandma's face shine
as we hid quiet
her hours of knitting
paid her off in happiness
watching both of us
Sshh...I said to her
grandmother is watching us
peek-a-boo; we laughed
I love her so much
I can't wait to play again
I need some more hugs
