When smarmy folks I KNOW dislike me come to me with phony stuff and nonsense they spread on so thick, their hugs I surely will rebuff. I-love-you hugs from sincere people— bring ‘em on! Can’t get enough. I’m-sorry hugs from those who mean them never leave me in a huff. I-GET-you hugs of understanding build me up and bless my soul. I’ve-missed-you hugs from friends and grandkids thrill me, heal me, make me whole. That's so true Janice. Every time I feel hugs aren't really important, I am proved wrong when I share loving hugs and feel warm. Congratulations on your win :)

I really really like this, Janice. I did not used to care for hugs , especially as a child. Now I do not mind them. In fact, from the right people, they are quite nice.

My father always smiled when he met someone he despised, but I ignore them so they never misunderstand my feeling! Life is too short to waste on shallow people! Let them spend their time among their own kind! Aloha! Rico

I love the verity of your message--so many beautiful lines of hugs (once that thrill) easily overshadow the fake ones. This is so well written, Janice!
