Huge Oak Tree Doth sun thus shine its countenance, Gift tree whose loft spreads its expanse, Its girth above neath midst remained, Flicks of light burst like windows stained, The trunk weighs down the cradled youth, Internal weave exploits the root, Limbed-tree who hath purged forth hugged vein, Thereon, ventures long with its frame, Styled tree stabled in wonderment, Our learned life begs our testament, The tree tilled naught nor didst we toil, Providence hath sprung from the soil. 2022 March 01

William, congratulations on your win! In Lafayette, LA there is a legendary oak tree, hundreds of years old. You have brought trees such as these, their magnificence, to our attention. In this time of chaos, you have invited us to look up and marvel. Mahalo! Blessings dear friend.

Righteous nouns they'd be, Andrea, though they'd be few and far in between here, closest girths would be our bayan trees. A welcomed honor my friend, Aloha~William

"The tree tilled naught nor didst we toil, Providence hath sprung from the soil". Yes, the tree didn't take any effort nor any one planted it . It has sprung from the soil as the lilies of the field.... well taken care of by providence ! Your poems are very deep my friend ! That's why no one dares to make a comment ! Stay blessed! (When I get a comment from you, I feel so happy !)
